We all have to deal with an ever faster, continuously evolving environment.
How do we learn to embrace and take advantage of change and not feel we have become a victim of change itself?

We as humans need to make meaning of what we experience, and in doing so we also come to realise the need to learn, develop and ultimately change. Not to do so would create a challenging environment and likely only a few would take this path by choice.


There is a fundamental need to Manage Change, be this for an individual or for a group. It is equally important to support Individuals, Teams, Leaders and Leadership Teams to bring about sustainable change by adapting and evolving to take full advantage of the situation. This may be reactive in terms of dealing with major restructuring of an organisation; it may be proactive in terms of designing a new organisation.

Given the challenging times we face today, there will be a significant shift in the work force from public to private sector.
  • Does this change have to be left to the individual, on his or her own, in isolation?
  • Does the changing organisation just “muddle” through, have the same output expectations but with fewer resources, how can that actually work?
It is likely in many situations we fall into a trap of denial, and we do just “muddle” along, till the next major change. The consequences of such behaviour is often demotivated staff, output expectations often not being met and ultimately a self fulfilling prophecy, we have to downsize even more.

We are not saying this is the cause in all situations, shifting global markets where the need to produce products and services shift to other parts of the world, these are a real forces at play.
  • So, what about the organisations and individuals that remain?
  • How to best support their transition?
This is why we need to Manage Change, to make it a productive and rewarding experience. It won’t be easy, learning and development never is, but if done well, it will be a highly motivating journey. When the individual or organisation looks back there will be a feeling of satisfaction; you have reached a better place after all.

Assentire Ltd has been formed to bring to the market a eclectic range of services with the purpose of supporting change in the organisational setting via the Assentire Development Framework.
